Hi Everyone! Starting tomorrow we will be helping another great cause by selling Calendar Raffles to help support the Kiwanis Club of New Bedford and all the wonderful things they do in the area! One example that is close to my wife’s heart is the fact that they made the helipad at St Lukes Hospital become a reality! Help support the Kiwanis Club! On Christmas Eve at lunchtime, Gary’s Best Hot Dogs, with the help of an awesome Elf named Celio Chaves, gave away FREE lunches! Naturally a surprise was in order for those who were given the meal! Thanks to Brian Harrington, this one was caught live!!! It was the BEST!! Hoping this young woman gets to view this!!!

Wanted to post that the drawing for our raffle item took place half hour ago. The initials of the winner are JB. Haven’t been able to make contact yet so once we do and with permission we will reveal the name! Congrats JB!

Operation Warmth is winding down. We are asking that you bring items and drop them in the box by Sunday night December 23rd as we will be delivering on Monday. Also want to remind everyone that the name will be drawn Sunday evening at 6pm for the winner of our Paratrooper Bear! Hoping that you all are on schedule when it comes to your Christmas preparations!

With Operation Warmth in full swing, we are also helping out Toys For Tots by raffling off a unique item that has been donated by Ron & Roseanna Camaioni!!!! This is definitely unique and serves as a reminder that many of our service men and women will not be home for Christmas. We are hoping to make many children happy as proceeds will go to purchasing more toys to help fill our Toys For Tots box. Raffle tickets are available at the service window!! All we will need is your name and phone number on each ticket you buy. Pricing will be posted at the service window. Winner will be drawn on Sunday December 23 at 6pm. Good Luck

We, at Gary’s are initiating a coat drive and would appreciate donations of coats, hats, gloves,sweaters, sweatshirts, and socks. Many adults and children are seeking warmth at this time of the year! Let’s help!!!! Drop off places will in the area are growing. Gary’s Best Hot Dogs on 958 Ashley Blvd in New Bedford is one, along with Ace Hardware on Dartmouth St. Perhaps you missed previous warm clothing drives!!! We, along with other small businesses are helping out Brian Harrington and Odie’s Place with the collection!!! Look for the huge box along side the serving window! We at Gary's Best have recently been informed by Mike Couto of the passing of his long time partner and brother, fondly known as Bill Mulligan. For years they have made us laugh and entertained us as only Couto and Mulligan can. Our hearts are broken. We will always remember how Bill could make us laugh just by laughing at himself, smirking that awesome smirk, before laughing at anything else! This video will always be a part of Gary's Best and its family. Never to be forgotten! We love you, Bill! Our deepest sympathies to Mike, Sandy, Billy, family and friends. To all who have had the pleasure of knowing Bill, if even for a brief moment........you have been blessed! That moment in time is to treasure forever!
